5 out of 5 stars I love-like it   August 25, 2010
E. Mills
I have not used this product enough to go into detail. I have used it on many occasions and have loved the picture quality and size. One thing I dislike is the weight on my neck. It is not too heavy, however, after walking/hiking the strap is hot and heavy on the back of my neck. I may invest in a harness-type to remove this discomfort.
I still gave it 5 stars b/c the binoculars themselves are wonderful!

1 out of 5 stars Total disappointment   August 20, 2010
M. Reeder (San Antonio)
I bought a pair of these primarily for spring turkey hunting in S. Texas. Encountered light rain the first day out. Kept the binoculars tucked inside my shirt, but they still fogged up almost immediately and were totally useless. A pair of lower priced 10X50 Simmons my wife was using never fogged and worked perfectly. Nikons were obviously not properly vacuum sealed, but when I contacted Nikon they refused to honor their 25-year warranty, even though the binoculars were brand new. A company contact said they were not guaranteed to be "water proof." I consider water proof to be submersible; not something that won't stand up to a couple of hours of humidity and light rain. I had always wanted a pair of Nikons, based on the company's reputation. Now, I will never buy anything from Nikon, and strongly advise others to avoid buying from them as well. The product proved to be shoddy, and the company's warranty was worthless. Know if you do buy them that the company refuses to stand behind its product. I rated them poorly in every catagory because they were not useable even once. FYI, I have been hunting and engaged in other outdoor activities for more than 40 years, and have never experienced this kind of problem with any other binoculars I have ever used. I am also a professional sports and outdoors writer, and in the course of testing many products I have never come across one which performed so poorly, or dealt with a company that showed such total disregard for its customers' interests.

5 out of 5 stars Super Gogggles   July 24, 2010
Ranger Mia
Purchased for our first trip to Yellowstone park and found them to be light weight and very easy to use. Thought we might keep them in the car for wildlife viewing but we found that they were so light that we took them everywhere. We could see wildlife that we may have missed had we not had the Nikon super binoculars. They really made our trip complete.

3 out of 5 stars Solid quality but dissapointing   July 4, 2010
Joseph Liberti (Colorado Springs, Colorado United States)
Solid quality and a good value for the price but disappointing for my use. I bought this for my wife for birdwatching. We have feeders outside a window of our home and attract a wide variety of birds. Problem: If the birds are closer than 16 feet you can not focus on them. Compared with a Minolta binocular we have, this set lacks power too. I should have spent the extra money for a better set.

4 out of 5 stars Nilon Binoculars   June 29, 2010

Good binoculars - bought for Yellowstone vacation. They were perfect for viewing the wildlife in the park. Good value, received timely. Would recommend.
