Amazon needs to do a better job pricing its version of a New Yorker subscription. I can subscribe to the regular paper version for about $35 per year. Why would I pay the same for the Kindle version? In my opinion to be competitive, the Kindle version should sell for no more than half the cost of the paper version
International edition more sensible than only US July 15, 2010

I subscribed for more than a decade to the New Yorker with a 2 month lag and high cost due to shipping to Australia. Eventually I cancelled and visit the local library and read an airmailed edition for free.
It would be to the New Yorker's advantage to have an international edition. In my library there is a long reservation queue as soon as each edition is available for borrowing.

It is truly a disappointment that The New Yorker is not made available for international subscribers. I am hoping this policy will be updated soon...

It is very sad that The New Yorker is not available for European-based Kindle owners. Please make this available worldwide.

I bought an iPad thinking that I would be able to get the New Yorker on it through the Kindle App. Nope. Amazon apparently does not make any magazine subscriptions available through Kindle apps running on non-Kindle devices like the iPad. What frustrates me is that this limitation is not disclosed anywhere prominent. I thought I did my due diligence before I bought my iPad by reading about the Kindle app and reading the page on Amazon about the New Yorker subscription, but apparently I should have dug deeper. It should say right under the purchase button that it is only available for Kindle devices and is not available for Kindle apps/software running on computers, iPhones, iPads, etc.
