It does the job that is needed no need in paying the high price at stores or pay shipping and handling through another website. I always can find enough to get the free shipping on Amazon.com that is the #1 reason I shop this website!

I bought this cable as a replacement for the one that came with my Nuvi, after the original cable was destroyed in a car accident. Unfortunately, the original cable had a traffic receiver built in, so you obviously will no longer receive traffic data if you replace that with this one (that replacement cable is around $100). However, for supplying power, this cable is excellent. It fits solidly into the Nuvi and I have no worries that it will ever slip out or become loose. The cable itself feels plenty think and sturdy. If you're just looking for a spare charger, this is the one to get!
