just okay March 10, 2010 Tammy M. Blackmer I bought this for my 10m. old son. He would carry it around and chew on it for a few minutes but that is about it. It really didn't hold his interest. Sometimes the button for the music gets stuck too. It is cute, maybe better for a younger baby.
Calms my 3 month old daughter down and makes her smile February 28, 2010 Amber L. Mayo (Orlando, FL) Her grandmother bought this toy for her at 2 months old. She LOVES it! When ever she starts to fuss and we can't calm her down, we turn this on and she completely stops and looks at it and starts smiling. She no longer has colic. She would cry for a couple of hours at night and we would try EVERYTHING. Now we just turn this on and she stops. I would recommend this to everyone.
Boy and Girl Twins, Mommy, Daddy and Teenage Older Brother All Appreciate This Toy February 22, 2010 Winston Smith (Here) We call this cute music player the baby pod, and we all find the music to be quite pleasant even after months of hearing the same 6-8 songs over and over and over again. Seriously, so many baby toys can get annoying, but this one has done a great job of avoiding that overbearing quality that is so common. It would be nice to have other options like continual loop play or extended melodies, but the toy itself serves it's purpose. The flashing lights are an added bonus, and my babies stick the handle in their mouths (like everything else) for teething. This is a great toy to stop the fussies on a car trip or just for fun anytime.
This is soooo cool! February 21, 2010 Kathy W (Baltimore) OMG! This is soooo cool! I ordered it for a gift because it looked like a good toy for an infant and because of the outstanding reviews. Well, let me tell you, I'm glad the shower is tomorrow because I can't stop playing with it! My inner child likes the pretty colors, cute catepillar face on the handle, and the 7 great classical melodies -- even The William Tell Overture (theme from the Long Ranger--High Ho Silver! And Away!!!) OMG--I am getting much too excited over this toy!
It plays each tune for a little while, too. The sound is very exciting, uplifting, peppy. Oh, and pretty colored lights flash while it is playing, too! I am sure any child would love it. The music is not annoying, either.
It comes ready to play. When the batteries wear out, it takes 2 AA/LR6 batteries. The Baby Einstein toys are Disney. The package says this toy "encourages music discovery, hand-eye coordination, together time fun, and sound discovery". With classics by Mozart, Vivaldi, Rossini, and Chopin, it is a pretty cool baby-ipod (well, sorta).
Where were these neat toys when I was a kid!!!
I'm gonna push it just one more time . . .
Happy grandmother February 20, 2010 Booklover 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is an excellent toy. The flashing lights are fun, but the classical music that it plays is wonderful to hear. My 3 year old granddaughter never tires of it and sometimes she uses it to drown out the sound of her baby sister's crying! At 8 months, her baby sister seems to be enjoying the lights and the music, too. It seems to be very well made, which is important.
